Bergerac & Villages
The Perigord has a vast collection of stunning villages, charming towns and medieval bastides, a breath away from us. Starting with Bergerac, our nearest town, enjoy the small shops and restaurants, stroll by the water and meet the statues of the legendary Cyrano the Bergerac. Other villages are Monpazier, Monflanquin, Eymet, Beaumont-du-Périgord, Limeuil… You will enjoy the scenery of the landscape and the authenticity of these magic places. On your way there, stop by any of the roadside brocantes and flea markets to treat yourself with some antics or peculiar trinkets.
Châteaux Everywhere
The Perigord’s patrimoine is also rich of his multitude of Chateaux and sites. Reminiscence of the feudal era, most of them are very well preserved and offer a variety of activities.
The Culinary Experience
Ah, another important staple of the Perigord is its food.
There are many delicious destination to visit in the area, from the Michelin restaurant to the guinguette, there is something for everyone.
The Prehistorical Caves
Visit the caves and experience what life was like in the prehistorical eras. There are many sites telling stories of time. Lascaux, one of the most famous cave, is reconstructed in a stunning museum just 75min away from us. You can also enjoy Font de Gaume depicting more than 200 carvings and drawings, Grotte des Combarelles with its beautiful carvings and natural reliefs. There are also smaller and more mysterious ones such as the Grotte du Sorcier, or the spectacular Gouffre de Proumeyssac (nacelle tickets recommended).
